Fuel Planning

 

Refer to the Notepad Readme.htm file in the 240pnlKMCC/CV-340 PANEL OPERATIONS folder for detailed instructions on using the Fuel Planner included in the Notepad gauges.

 

You will also need to set the payload within the maximum payload value displayed by the Fuel Planner:

 

Weight and Balance

 

Center of Gravity should be at 25% of wing chord on diagram.

 

3 crew and bags = 600 lbs
12 pax ahead of CG @ 170 lbs = 2040 lbs (max 20 pax)
12 pax behind CG = 2040 lbs (max 20 pax)
Forward baggage hold @ 30 lbs/pax = 360 lbs (max 1000 lbs)
Aft baggage hold = 360 lbs (max 1500 lbs)

 

Initial Inspection

 

If fueling, do not actuate Radios, Prop Deice,
Starter Control, or Heaters.

Throttle set to 1000-1200 RPM (about 1/4 open)

Throttle                Stabilize at 1000 rpm

Engine Run-up

Prop Governor           MIN RPM, then MAX RPM

If not using ADI - 53.5" MAP MAXIMUM

 

CAUTION - 4350 feet required with Takeoff power @ MTOW

 

Rotate at Vr

Refer to Notepad for V speeds (click placard).

Gear UP @ positive rate of climb (<= 500 fpm)

Refer to Handling Notes for post-rotation procedure

Maintain MAP with throttle as you climb

Seat Belts        AS REQUIRED

Superchargers to HIGH when throttle cannot maintain climb MAP

Procedure:

  Reduce power by 4" MAP, switches to HIGH,

  Reset power to Climb Power

 

WHEN climb rate < 500 fpm enter initial cruise or refer to Oper Ceil in Notepad
